Post Lap Band surgeryThe process for Lap Band Adjusting involves using a thin needle to inject or remove saline from the band through the access port. Being able to adjust the band is one aspect of Lap Band surgery, and is a normal feature of the follow up with one’s lap band specialist. This feature lets one’s Lap Band surgeon reach the right level of restriction to meet their individual needs. Once the lap band placement procedure is finished, with Lap Band Adjusting, the band is normally left empty or only partially inflated for an amount of time. With Lap Band Adjusting, the adjustments are not normally done until 4 to 6 weeks following surgery although the exact time varies from patient to patient. It is important for the Lap Band patient to consult with their lap band specialist as when to begin the Lap Band Adjusting.
